MOZDOK, Russia (CNN) -- The Russian war against Chechnya is leaving its mark on young Chechen refugees forced to flee their villages -- and their devastating memories are translated into drawings.

If a picture is, indeed, worth a thousand words, these young refugees have lasting reminders of what life has become for them. With no room for more refugees in Russian towns, families take up residence in a graveyard.
