Video: Will McCain's New Hampshire win carry over to South Carolina?

February 2, 2000
Web posted at: 6:25 p.m. EST (2325 GMT)

(CNN) -- GOP Presidential contender John McCain is hoping that his New Hampshire victory will help him take South Carolina on February 19. But Texas Gov. George W. Bush leads in Palmetto State polls by nearly 20 points, has the backing of the Republican establishment, and may hold an insurmountable advantage over the maverick McCain.

But the Arizona senator plans to spend every day in South Carolina between now and the primary, and is hoping to win the support of veterans.

CNN's Inside Politics takes a look.
