Poll shows Michigan Senate race a dead heat
DETROIT (Reuters) - The closely watched U.S. Senate race in Michigan between incumbent Republican Spencer Abraham and Democratic challenger Rep. Deborah Stabenow is a statistical dead heat, a new poll indicated Monday.
A survey of 600 likely voters conducted Saturday and Sunday by Survey USA for WDIV-TV, found Abraham leading Stabenow, 48 percent to 44 percent. The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.
Abraham led by eight percentage points in the same survey last week.
Abraham has raised more than $10 million for his reelection bid compared with $6.3 million for Stabenow, Federal Election Commission figures showed.
