Kenneth Starr wants to see cameras in U.S. Supreme Court
(CNN) -- In an online interview, former Whitewater Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr tells CNN legal analyst Greta Van Susteren he thinks there should be cameras in the U.S. Supreme Court, but they probably won't be admitted until there's a change of heart or membership on the court.
Starr says he wants to educate everyday Americans about the justice system. It's the teacher in him, he says, that is writing a new book, "Search for the Center: The Supreme Court in American Life," due in 2001.
Starr served as Whitewater independent counsel through the Monica Lewinsky investigation, until he handed off the case to Robert Ray in October 1999. Previously, he argued 25 cases before the Supreme Court as Solicitor General of the United States, and has served as a federal judge.
