Ramazzotti stays true to Italian roots on 'Stile Libero'
MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- Italian pop singer Eros Ramazzotti is on tour promoting his latest album, "Stile Libero." He released it last month, in Italian and Spanish, to an eager audience.
The record debuted at No. 5 across Europe, and is quickly becoming one of his fastest-selling albums, thanks in part to the first single, "Fuoco Nel Fuoco."
The album incorporates sounds from his native homeland and abroad, Ramazzotti says.
"The concept of this album is about making good songs while maintaining the essence of my Italian roots with an international sound," he told CNN WorldBeat. "This type of music has to sound beautiful, listenable and at the same time it has to have interesting lyrics."
