Court: Robert Downey Jr. fulfilled prison sentenceMALIBU, California (CNN) -- A court hearing has found that the one year actor Robert Downey Jr. served in prison fulfilled his sentence for a drug conviction, said the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office Tuesday. Downey, 35, was required to appear at the hearing to determine if the time he served was calculated properly. In a separate drug case, Downey is due in an Indio, California, courtroom on December 27 on charges stemming from a Thanksgiving weekend arrest in Palm Springs. Charges include drug possession, being under the influence of drugs and committing a felony while out on bail. Downey, who recently made a comeback in the Fox television series "Ally McBeal," was nominated for an Academy Award for his title role in the 1992 movie, "Chaplin."
Aerosmith, 'N Sync, Ray Charles coming to Super BowlNEW YORK -- It's going to be a rockin' Super Bowl XXXV. Veteran rockers Aerosmith and the boy band 'N Sync are headlining the halftime show, which will be produced by MTV. They'll be joined by the Backstreet Boys, who will sing the national anthem before kickoff, and Ray Charles, who is scheduled to sing "America the Beautiful." Super Bowl XXXV will air on CBS on January 28 at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. It's expected to draw 130 million viewers in the United States and 750 million worldwide. Actress Michael Michele in 'Ali'HOLLYWOOD, California -- Actress Michael Michele, best known for her role as Dr. Cleo Finch on NBC's "ER," has signed on to co-star in "Ali," alongside Will Smith. Jamie Foxx, Mario Van Peebles, Jeffrey Wright and Mykelti Williamson are also set to star in the Sony Pictures film about boxing champ Muhammad Ali. Shooting is scheduled to begin in April. Michele was recently nominated for an NAACP Image Award for her "ER" role. Her film credits include "The Sixth Man" (1997) and "New Jack City" (1991).
