TRENTON, New Jersey (CNN) -- Anthrax contamination appeared to spread further among New Jersey postal workers with a new case of suspected skin anthrax involving a mail processor at a Camden County distribution center, postal inspector Tony Esposito said Wednesday.

At a press conference, Michael Brose, a postal district manager, said that Camden County's Bellmawr center had been closed for environmental testing.

Brose described the case as "mild" and said it could not be confirmed until a biopsy is completed.

The worker, he said, discovered a "molelike lesion on the back of his hand" about five days ago and went to his doctor to have it checked.

The mail processor works on machines that read bar codes and optical-sorting machines.

Five other cases of anthrax -- two inhalation and three cutaneous, or skin -- have been reported in the Trenton area in central New Jersey. Four of those are postal workers; the other is an area resident. Camden County is in the southern part of the state.
