'Dallas' star packs house for nude role

LONDON, England -- Former "Dallas" star Linda Gray has been drawing packed houses as she takes on the role of Mrs Robinson in "The Graduate" in London's West End.

Theatre-goers at the Gielgud in Shaftesbury Avenue have warmed to the 60-year-old, who appears nude during one of the scenes.

Gielgud spokeswoman Lea Davis said: "The theatre had been very packed and there are very few tickets available. Saturdays are totally packed out."

Customer Mehrine Khan added: "She looked very comfortable and wasn't nervous at all. She looked great."

Gray, who made her debut in the role on October 1, is the oldest actress to play Mrs Robinson, following Anna Archer 53, Amanda Donohoe, 39, Jerry Hall, 45 and 47-year-old Kathleen Turner. Prior to her debut Gray said: "I am scared of the nudity in the role but that's part of the job and it's something that I am going to have to overcome.

"I'm finding it tougher having to learn how to smoke. I've never smoked so I've got to practise looking cool with a cigarette."

Gray plays a bored wife who has an intimate relationship with a friend's son. But she seems undeterred by the age gap, saying: "I've been out with much younger men."
