Statement from Islamic Jihad

BEIRUT (CNN) -- A group calling itself the Jerusalem Brigade of the Islamic Jihad of Palestine faxed the following message to news agencies Thursday following the suicide bombing in Jerusalem:

Around 2 p.m. today the heroic martyr Husseini Omar Abou Naeseh, 23 years old, belonging to Walid Beharad, carried out a suicide operation inside a restaurant in the junction of Jaffa Street and King David (sic) in the heart of occupied Jerusalem which resulted in the deaths of 10 Zionists and created an atmosphere of panic and fear inside the Zionist entity.

We at the Islamic Jihad dedicate the heroic operation to the souls of the martyrs of the Nablus massacre and all the martyrs of the heroic Palestinian people.

We at the Jerusalem Brigade reiterate to the leaders of the criminal enemy that we are capable and willing and this is a part of our response to the cowardly assassinations carried out against our people and that more heroic suicide bombers are on the way, God willing
