Two Palestinians killed in Hebron
JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Renewed fighting in Palestinian-controlled Hebron Saturday left two Palestinians dead, the Palestine Red Crescent said. The Palestinians were killed in an exchange of gunfire one day after the Red Crescent said at least six Palestinians were killed when Israeli forces, including tanks, entered two neighborhoods in the area. Israel Defense Forces said Israeli troops took control of the suburbs of Haret al-Sheik and Abu Sneineh Friday following "incessant firing in Abu Sneineh and the wounding of two women" on Wednesday. In a separate incident, one Israeli died and another was wounded in a drive-by shooting near the West Bank town of Tul-Karem, according to the IDF. |
