Palestinian reported shot in Hebron

JERUSALEM (CNN) -- A Palestinian was shot dead and three others injured by the Israeli army Sunday in the West Bank city of Hebron, the Palestine Red Crescent said.

The Israeli army is checking the report, a spokesperson said.

Earlier Sunday, police said an Israeli and a Palestinian were killed when a car exploded at the entrance of a kibbutz in northern Israel near Beit Shean in what authorities say was a suicide attack.

Police have confirmed that one of the people who died in the blast was an Israeli, who was killed when a bomb carried by a Palestinian went off next to the Israeli's car. The Palestinian died in the blast. No other deaths or injuries were reported in the incident near Kibbutz Shluhot.

Earlier, police thought the two who died were Palestinians and thought both people in the car were planning to set off a bomb.
