(CNN) -- The stars! The glitz! The glamor!
Yes, it's that time of the year again. No, we're not talking about the Oscars. We're talking about the IPpys!
Get it? IP: "Inside Politics." It's the award all politicians want on their mantels.
OK, OK, maybe not the most coveted; that may be a slight exaggeration. Still, the IPpy does recognize some of the nation's best theatrics - and they don't take place on a sound stage or a remote location.
Every year, Bill Schneider merges politics and Hollywood. If Washington were a movie, who would have been the best actor? If the party switch by Sen. Jim Jeffords were a Hollywood screenplay, would it have nabbed a real Oscar? Would "Enron" the movie be a blockbuster?
