In an important symbol of reconciliation, East Timor President Xanana Gusmao welcomes President Megawati Sukarnoputri of Indonesia, the country that occupied East Timor for more than two decades. The two leaders missed part of the celebration as they visited the graves of Indonesian soldiers killed in the occupation. |
