Denmark and Senegal share points
TAEGU, South Korea (CNN) -- Jon Dahl Tomasson scored his third goals of the finals as Denmark and Senegal shared the points in a 1-1 draw. The result in Taegu leaves both teams with a great chance of making the knock-out stage, with France and Uruguay meeting later in the day. But it was an ill-tempered game littered with yellow cards and 11 minutes before the end Salif Diao, who had equalised for Senegal on 52 minutes, was sent off for an appalling tackle. Diao had also brought down Tomasson in the area to give Denmark a penalty in the 16th minute. Tomasson, who scored both goals in Denmark's opening 2-1 win over Uruguay, struck the kick into the corner. The afternoon heat took some of the pace out of the game and Senegal were unable to repeat the flowing moves that upset champions France on the opening day of the tournament. But Senegal's equaliser was an outstanding five-man passing move from their own defence with Diao, having sprinted the length of the pitch, calmly slotting the ball past Danish keeper Thomas Sorensen.
