Bryant case D.A. office says it received threats

EAGLE, Colorado (CNN) -- A spokeswoman for Eagle County District Attorney Mark Hurlbert, who is handling the sexual assault accusation against Kobe Bryant, said Saturday that Hurlbert's office has received threats.
Krista Flannigan would not divulge the nature of the threats nor whether they were related to the Bryant case. (Full story) The threats are being investigated by the FBI.
She said the district attorney's office doors were locked Friday, even though that the office carried on its normal business. Other security considerations are being evaluated, she added.
Hurlbert, 34, is handling the case against Bryant, who is accused of sexually assaulting a Colorado hotel employee in June.
Bryant, who is married, has acknowledged having had sex with the woman, but insists it was consensual and that he did not assault her.
Hurlbert charged Bryant with one count of sexual assault, saying he felt he could "prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt."
According to a report by The Associated Press, Hurlbert, a married father of two who grew up in neighboring Summit County, has prosecuted two first-degree murder cases and several sexual assault cases -- but none as high-profile as Bryant's.
In an interview with the AP, Hurlbert, who took office in December and has less than 10 years of experience as a local prosecutor, said he should not be underestimated.
"I do feel like I'm ready for this. I'm determined to go ahead and do my job," he said in the interview.
