Michael Jackson's father says son a 'good boy'
(CNN) -- At a Thanksgiving dinner for the needy in Las Vegas, Nevada, Joe Jackson -- father of pop icon Michael Jackson -- told reporters that his son is a "good boy."
"He's a good boy, and I raised him good, so I'm not too worried about other things that's happening," the elder Jackson said Thursday.
Joe Jackson said he knows that Michael "is enjoying his Thanksgiving and I'm happy about that."
Michael Jackson, 45, was booked last week on suspicion of child molestation in Santa Barbara, California, and released on $3 million bond. He then returned to Las Vegas, where he had been working on a video.
Formal charges against him will be brought in mid-December, according to a source close to the investigation.
Jackson and his lawyers say he's innocent, and charge that the accuser and his family have brought the case for financial gain.
