LONDON, England -- Arsenal defender Sol Campbell must face a Football Association disciplinary hearing on Wednesday -- the day before he flies out for England's critical Euro 2004 qualifier in Turkey.
Campbell has denied an FA charge of violent conduct after he kicked out at Manchester United's Eric Djemba-Djemba following a fierce tackle by the Cameroon midfielder in the Community Shield in Cardiff on August 10.
If found guilty, Campbell faces a three-match ban for the offence.
The FA announced the date of the hearing on Monday with England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson still to unveil his squad for Saturday's game in Istanbul.
Eriksson's Group Seven leaders require a draw to qualify automatically for next year's championship in Portugal.
Arsenal, meanwhile, run the risk of losing Campbell at the same time as six players charged with misconduct following last month's stormy Premiership clash with United.
He has already served a one-match ban for a red card for a professional foul in the 2-1 victory over Everton at Highbury on the opening day of the season.
And Campbell missed the final four games of last season -- including the FA Cup final -- after being sent off for lashing out at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the 2-2 draw with United.
The former Tottenham star only returned in Saturday's win at Liverpool having sat out another three games following the death of his father.
