(CNN) -- Video game publishers are busy cranking out new titles to feed the insatiable appetites of gamers worldwide. Dan "Shoe" Hsu, editor in chief of Electronic Gaming Monthly knows what to expect over the next few months.
Sprinting off the sidelines and onto the playing field is "Madden NFL 2004." Timed to the beginning of the pro football season, it goes on sale this week. Shoe says previous Madden games have been so successful that even non-gamers rush out to grab a copy. Designed for all the major consoles, this monster franchise enters its 14th season as the winner of several industry awards.
Madden isn't the only game that's projected to be a hit. With summer winding down, look for the ever-cool James Bond to make his mark this fall. "James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing" is a hot pick, according to Shoe.

The fifth Bond release from Electronic Arts features an all-star cast which includes John Cleese as "Q", Heidi Klum as Katya Nadanova and of course the suave and iconic Mr. Bond himself, Pierce Bronsan. Like "Madden NFL 2004," it can also be played on all the major consoles.
Shoe is also targeting "SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs" to be crowd pleaser. Gamers play as either a terrorist or a counterterrorist and plan their moves online through the ears of their teammates. Shoe is a big fan of this real-time chat feature. If you want to give it a run, make sure you have a PlayStation 2 before heading out to buy your copy.
