DUBAI (CNN) -- Saudi Arabia says authorities have arrested a suspect in the terror strike last month at a housing compound in Riyadh.

The November 8 bombing killed 17 people and wounded 122 others at a housing compound near the capital city's diplomatic quarter. The victims were mostly Arabs, according to Saudi authorities and residents of the neighborhood.

Officials have said they believe al Qaeda is responsible for the attack, noting the technique was similar to other strikes.

An official statement issued by the Ministry of Interior on Wednesday quoted a senior official saying that the man was arrested

Wednesday at a house in a neighborhood where there is believed to be support for terror cells.

Police found explosives, guns and ammunition there. They found compact disks, brochures, and other documents.
