From Deirdre Walsh, CNN political unit:

(CNN) -- The "Inside Politics" team split off from the bus last night and headed west, back to Des Moines, Iowa.

Earlier today, Judy caught up with Howard Dean, who was speaking at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, about an hour's drive southeast of Des Moines.

Dean worked the crowd after his speech, speaking to supporters and making his case to a few undecideds, but largely avoiding reporters.

Judy got a chance to ask Dean if he was feeling any pressure, with polls showing that the race is now a tossup among four Democrats. Dean stayed on message, saying he's continuing to campaign hard, and pushing his organization to get his supporters to the caucuses Monday night.

From Dale Fountain, CNN Election Express bus driver:

Crew call 4:45 a.m. Temperature: 35 degrees (practically tropical for Iowa in January). Today's Express location: Rhythm City Casino in Davenport, Iowa, one of the Quad Cities. (Can you name the other three?)

Edwards
Sen. John Edwards, center, with "Crossfire" hosts Paul Begala and Robert Novak on CNN's Election Express.

This morning found us on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, overlooking one of Davenport's favorite pastimes -- the riverboat casino. The casinos came roaring in during the 1990s and were a huge economic boom for the area, with its 65 miles of riverfront.

In a "Bigtime Bus Photo-op," Sen. John Edwards' campaign bus pulled into the parking lot right next to the Election Express and the senator hopped onboard for an interview with "Crossfire" hosts Robert Novak and Paul Begala. The buses were nose to nose, and they were lookin' pretty good!

You can see that interview on "Crossfire" today, as well as an interview with Rep. Dick Gephardt.

Novak and Begala went to his event last night and discovered that the congressman cruises around town with a different set of wheels. He rolled into the event not on a campaign bus, but on an 18-wheeler, with Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa. Cool.

This afternoon, "Crossfire" will be coming to you live from in front of the Rhythm City Casino -- so throw down your cards and come and join us!

Today's TV Lingo: Beauty shot. It's a great TV picture showing a scenic view or an interesting thing (for example, two political buses sitting nose to nose).

P.S. The answer to above question: Bettendorf, Moline and Rock Island.
