Henin-Hardenne reaches Qatar semis
DOHA, Qatar -- Top seed Justine Henin-Hardenne is through to the semi-finals of the Qatar Total Open after defeating Nathalie Dechy of France in straight sets.
The 21-year-old Belgian reached the last four with a 6-1 7-5 victory to extend her unbeaten record to 16 wins out of 16 for the season.
Henin-Hardenne will next play Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova in a repeat of last week's Dubai final.
The teenager outlasted Meghann Shaughnessy in a tough three-set battle, 4-6 6-1 6-3, to secure her place.
Meanwhile, second seed Jennifer Capriati is gradually finding her form again after a long absence, and she also reached the last four with a 7-6 6-1 win over number five seed Silvia Farina Elia of Italy.
