MILAN, Italy - Clarence Seedorf crowned a stunning fightback by Serie A leaders AC Milan, with an 85th minute winner against city rivals Inter.
Milan, two down at halftime, scored twice in two minutes soon after the break through Jon Dahl Tomasson and Kaka before Seedorf rocketed home a dramatic winner.
Serbian midfielder Dejan Stankovic put Inter ahead in the 15th minute direct from a corner and Cristiano Zanetti made it 2-0.
The victory stretched Milan's lead at the top to eight points and kept Inter down in sixth spot.
Milan were the first to threaten after 10 fast-paced minutes through their young Brazilian midfielder Kaka, whose close-range attempt was bravely parried by international keeper Francesco Toldo.
Inter went ahead when Stankovic curled over a corner kick that bounced undisturbed in the area before landing behind Brazil's keeper Dida.
The Serb international, on target for the first time for Inter since he left Lazio in January, also put over the corner kick that produced Inter's second goal after 40 minutes.
A deflection by Milan's Georgian defender Kakha Kaladze from Cristiano Zanetti's shot sent the ball past Dida two minutes after Brazilian Adriano had fired against the post from 11 meters.
Adriano fired wide of a gaping goal when he had the chance to make it 3-0 soon after the break and
Inter paid dearly for the mistake as Milan swiftly drew level.
Tomasson, on as a second-half sub ,was quick to pounce after 54 minutes after Toldo had managed to save a searing drive by Seedorf. A minute later, Kaka advanced undisturbed from the midfield and fired home a low angled drive from the edge of the area.
Inter's defense was to blame again for Milan's winner. The former Inter midfielder had ample time to position himself and slam home the winner from 30 meters.
Seven players were booked in a pulsating encounter in front of 80,000.
A mistake by Sampdoria goalkeeper Francesco Antonioli gifted Parma their first goal in a 2-1 away success which sent them into fifth spot.
The match was deadlocked until the 59th minute when Parma striker Alberto Gilardino poked a weak shot towards goal and Antonioli bent to gather it, but the ball slipped between his legs and rolled into the net.
Parma striker Mark Bresciano added a second after 74 minutes before Sampdoria pulled a goal back through 20-year-old forward Antonio Floro Flores seven minutes from time.
