MILAN, Italy (Reuters) -- Inter Milan drew their eighth game in 10 Serie A matches on Sunday as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at promoted and much-improved Fiorentina.
Inter's Brazilian striker Adriano equalized in the 81st minute after Dario Dainelli had given Fiorentina a first-half lead.
Leaders Juventus, who on Saturday fell to their first defeat of the season 2-1 at Reggina, have a four-point advantage over AC Milan who were held 1-1 by Roma at the San Siro in Sunday's late game.
Ukraine striker Andriy Shevchenko put Milan ahead in the sixth minute, heading in a Cafu cross, as Milan dominated the first half.
But Roma came out energized in the second half and Vincenzo Montella equalized with his league-leading ninth goal in the 48th, hitting the crossbar on his first attempt and then converting an easy rebound.
Third-placed Lecce are now 10 points behind the leaders after suffering their first home defeat of the season when a late penalty from Czech midfielder Marek Jankulovski gave Udinese a 4-3 win.
Teenage sensation Valeri Bojinov twice put Lecce ahead only for counter-attacking Udinese to level through Jankulovski and Antonio Di Natale.
Striker Vincenzo Iaquinta briefly put the visitors 3-2 ahead before a goal by Mirko Vucinic seemed to have bagged a point for the home side in the 89th minute.
In added time, however, Jankulovski was upended in the box and he got up to drive home the penalty and lift his side six places to fourth.
