Amber Alert
Florida

MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- An Amber Alert has been issued for Desiree Reyome, a baby taken from a home where she had been placed by Florida's Department of Children and Families.

Officers say the 2-week-old girl was taken by her mother, 18-year-old Lisa Nicole Steverson, and the baby's father, Raymond Eugene Reyome, 35, may be with them.

The DCF shelter is in the K-Ville area of Polk County, Florida. The baby was placed there early Wednesday and officials say the mother "disappeared with the baby" hours later, between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. "in the homeowner's vehicle," referring to the shelter.

The alert said Reyome "has made threats to law enforcement and has a history of violent behavior."

Law enforcement officers are asking people to be on the lookout for a 1984 four-door silver Toyota Corolla, Florida tag G60-NPM. In the back of the car there is a Harley-Davidson sticker and a sticker that says "Payday" on the right side of the trunk near a rust spot.

The alert said there is a red, white and blue bandanna and several strands of beads hanging from the rearview mirror and that the black molding on the driver's door is missing.

The car may be stolen, according to the alert.

Col. Grady Judd, of the Polk County Sheriff's Department, said Reyome is from Ohio and authorities there have been notified.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show Reyome has been convicted of burglary and pleaded guilty to armed robbery with a firearm and grand theft.
