ROME, Italy (CNN) -- An Italian intelligence source said Tuesday that two Italian humanitarian workers from the organization Bridge to Baghdad were kidnapped in Baghdad.

Iraqi police told CNN that the two Italian women and three Iraqis working with the group were seized.

Italian authorities identify the women as Simona Torretta and Simona Pari, both age 29, according to media reports.

Torretta has been in Iraq for at least a year and Pari arrived just a few months ago, and they both worked on a UNICEF-linked project rebuilding school, media reports say.

The kidnappers, dressed like Iraqi National Guard members, raided the organization's building, located near Ibn al-Haithem Hospital in central Baghdad, Iraqi police said.

Rome Bureau Chief Alessio Vinci and Producer Kevin Flower contributed to this report
