PARIS, France -- Red Bull Racing will have three drivers this season after signing Vitantonio Liuzzi and Christian Klien to accompany Briton David Coulthard.
However, The Austrian energy drink makers who bought Jaguar in November, did not say who would partner Coulthard in the race team.
Both drivers have signed the same one-year contract but a decision on who will race in the first Grand Prix in Australia in March has been postponed for now.
"The management will decide after tests in January and February who will start alongside David Coulthard in Melbourne," Red Bull said in a statement.
Klien, who turns 22 on February 7, drove for Jaguar last season on the back of substantial Red Bull backing and the Austrian is expected to retain his seat at least for the early part of the season.
Liuzzi, however, has a strong claim to a race seat having dominated last season's Formula 3000 Championship and impressing in testing.
The 23-year-old Italian is expected to be given a role as test driver and thrust into the race seat should Klien not improve on last year's performances.
Klien is ineligible for the test driver role having raced in 18 Grands Prix last year.
Coulthard, 33, has won 13 times in 175 Grands Prix.
Red Bull Racing's 2005 car will be presented to the public in Jerez on February 7.
