EDINBURGH, Scotland -- Ireland centre Gordon D'Arcy has been ruled out of Saturday's Six Nations match against Scotland with a hamstring injury.

D'Arcy, who joins fellow center and skipper Brian O'Driscoll on the sidelines, is replaced in the team by Kevin Maggs.

Lock Paul O'Connell will captain the side in O'Driscoll's absence.

Shane Horgan is switched from the wing to take O'Driscoll's place, with Girvan Dempsey named in the starting line-up.

Gavin Duffy takes Dempsey's spot on the replacements bench at Murrayfield.

Meanwhile, giant lock Malcolm O'Kelly will become his country's most capped player when he wins his 70th cap on Saturday.

He surpasses the record set by centre Mike Gibson, who combined a 1964-1979 playing career with his work as a lawyer.

And the 30-year-old has no plans to stop any time soon.

"Even though Brian O'Driscoll - on 50-something caps - and the others will probably pass me in time, if I stay clear of injury with my contract up in two seasons, I don't see any reason why I couldn't continue," he said.

Team - Ireland: 15-Geordan Murphy; 14-Girvan Dempsey, 13-Shane Horgan 12-Kevin Maggs, 11-Denis Hickie; 10-Ronan O'Gara, 9-Peter Stringer; 8-Anthony Foley, 7-Johnny O'Connor, 6-Simon Easterby, 5-Paul O'Connell (captain), 4-Malcolm O'Kelly, 3-John Hayes, 2-Shane Byrne, 1-Reggie Corrigan

Replacements: 16-Frankie Sheahan, 17-Marcus Horan, 18-Donncha O'Callaghan, 19-Eric Miller, 20-Guy Easterby, 21-David Humphreys, 22-Gavin Duffy
