LONDON, England -- Ralf Schumacher is set to make his comeback in Sunday's French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours following a heavy crash at the U.S. Grand Prix on June 19.

Schumacher's Toyota suffered a tyre blow-out during practice at Indianapolis which led to the controversial boycott of teams running Michelin tyres.

"I'm fully recovered from my accident and I'm looking forward to getting back to racing in France," he said.

"Magny-Cours is not my favorite track but the French Grand Prix is one of six races which I have won in my career. I also took my first pole there in 2001."

Schumacher missed the U.S. race after hitting a concrete wall at the same spot where he broke bones in his back following an accident during the 2004 race.

He was not fit enough to take part in his team's recent Toyota testing session but claims he will be able to race at the weekend.

"I did not take part in last year's event, so this week's race will mark my first trip since I won in 2003," he added.

"It is hard to know how we will perform there this year, but our overall package is still competitive with half of the season now gone, so we will certainly be looking for more points."

Last season, Schumacher, who was driving for Williams-BMW, missed six European races, including the French Grand Prix, after his Indianapolis crash.
