Australian hooker Moore forced out
YOUR E-MAIL ALERTSSYDNEY, Australia -- A back injury has forced Australian reserve hooker Stephen Moore out of Saturday's final Tri-nations test match against New Zealand in Auckland. Moore became the 17th Australian player ruled out of the match with injury and his place in the squad has been taken by New South Wales hooker Adam Freier. "It's another injury and another disappointment," said Australia coach Eddie Jones. "But Adam has already had a taste of test rugby and is looking forward to capitalising on this latest opportunity. "He's an enthusiastic player, and with another four or five new blokes in the squad at the moment there's certainly plenty of that out there in each session." Jones revealed prop Matt Dunning is also in doubt with a back injury, preventing him from training on Monday, while loose forward Scott Fava also missed the session with a virus. Jones said he would announce the Wallabies squad on Wednesday. Victory for New Zealand would give them this year's title, while Australia have lost all three matches to date and are out of contention. Kaino drafted in by All BlacksMeanwhile, Jerome Kaino has been drafted into the New Zealand squad as a replacement for suspended flanker Jerry Collins. Collins picked up a two-week ban for punching South Africa's Jaco van der Westhuyzen in the All Blacks's 31-27 Tri-nations victory over the Springboks in Dunedin at the weekend. Kaino will train with the squad this week, although New Zealand coach Graham Henry has still to decide whether the forward will play in Saturday's final Tri-nations match against Australia. The 22-year-old Kaino toured Europe with the All Blacks last year and played in the final match against the Barbarians but is yet to feature in a test.
