India will be hoping Sehwag is fit for the second Test match with Sri Lanka

NEW DELHI, India -- India opener Virender Sehwag is doubtful for the second Test against Sri Lanka on Saturday, after being hospitalized with a throat infection and fever.

Sehwag missed practice on Thursday complaining of body aches.

"He is feeling better as the medication is working. He will take 48 hours to recover from the fever," said a spokesman.

The first Test ended in a draw in the southern city of Madras earlier this week after monsoon rains washed out play for three and a half days.

India and Sri Lanka are involved in a three Test series, while India swamped Sri Lanka 6-1 in the one-dayers played last month.
