MADRID, Spain -- Brazilian midfielder Fredson Camara scored twice with headers to help Espanyol to a 4-1 victory over Osasuna and lift them into fourth place in the Spanish league.
Argentine forward Maxi Rodriguez and midfielder Ivan De La Pena also scored for Espanyol, who rallied for their first win in three matches after striker Pierre Webo had given Osasuna the lead.
Ronaldo scored twice as Real won the Madrid derby game at Atletico 3-0.
They joined Valencia in second place on 35 points with an identical goals tally. Real have won one more game.
Real continued their perfect record under the reign of new coach Wanderley Luxemburgo but were somewhat flattered by the margin of their victory.
Ronaldo's goals came either side of one from Argentine winger Santiago Solari but Atletico had their chances and Fernando Torres went close several times.
Only heroics from Real goalkeeper Iker Casillas kept out Atletico, who lost their unbeaten home record.
Japan striker Yoshito Okubo scored and also laid on a goal on his debut for Mallorca in a 2-2 draw with Deportivo La Coruna.
After striker Webo put Osasuna ahead in the 16th minute, defender Enrique Corrales headed past his own goalkeeper in the 32nd minute, allowing Rodriguez to score the equalizer.
Espanyol took the lead five minutes later when Fredson powered home a header off the crossbar and they added a third in the 40th minute through De La Pena's floated free kick from the edge of the area.
Fredson doubled his tally in the 83rd with a header from a cross by striker Raul Tamudo.
Crowned debut
Okubo, who recently joined struggling Mallorca from Cerezo Osaka, helped his team equalize twice after Spain forward Albert Luque had twice given Deportivo the lead in the 51st and 63rd minutes.
Okubo set up the chance for striker Luis Garcia to head home in the 57th minute, and then crowned his debut with a headed goal seven minutes later.
The draw left Deportivo without a win in six games, while Mallorca remained in 19th with 14 points.
Zaragoza earned their first victory in five home games with Brazilian forward Savio Bortolini's rising shot in the 44th minute against Real Betis.
Striker Javi Guerrero and Uruguay's Mario Regueiro scored before halftime to earn Santander their first victory in eight games and pile more pressure on Malaga's beleaguered coach Gregorio Manzano.
Malaga, languishing in 18th with 15 points, scored a late consolation goal through Cesar Navas.
A mass brawl in injury time led to the dismissal of Malaga's Alexis Ruano and Miguel Angel Lozano, together with Santander's Mehdi Nafti.
