Ankle injury rules out Demichelis
![]() Demichelis was in line to make his first start for Argentina against Hungary BERLIN, Germany -- Bayern Munich's Martin Demichelis faces four weeks out after tearing an ankle ligament while training with Argentina before their friendly with Hungary. The midfielder, who was in line to make his first start for Argentina, had his left ankle put in plaster after tearing the ligament just before the match kicked off. The 24-year-old had established himself in the Bayern side but seems certain to miss their next two Bundesliga matches. He will also miss Sunday's visit to regional league side MSV Neuruppin in the first round of the German Cup. Demichelis will be unavailable for Argentina's next World Cup qualifier against Paraguay on September 3, although they have already secured a place in the finals in Germany next year. Argentina won Wednesday's game in Hungary 2-1.
