(CNN) -- If you have ever worried about the contribution business travel makes to global warming and climate change, you can now do something to offset that. For instance a return flight for one passenger to New York from London will produce 1.2 tonnes of carbon dioxide, and will require the planting of six new trees to offset the damage to the environment. So, on this month's show Richard Quest travels to Vancouver -- one of the greenest cities in the world -- to find out the hidden environmental costs of a business trip. Good Richard/Bad RichardRichard Quest will be monitored throughout his trip by an emissions expert, Graham Simmons from Trees for Cities who will chart all his carbon footprints. From taxis, to plane rides, to hotel laundry, even the meals eaten along the way will be monitored. It is not just people that notch-up air miles but also food and goods. Quest will also be talking to various airlines and hotels about their green policies and food miles experts about how ordering New Zealand lamb in Vancouver adds a lot more to your emissions bill, compared to locally grown, seasonal produce. And Quest will be examining how individual business travelers can engage in emissions trading, which includes tree planting. DowntimeThis is a new segment and features the best of fly-fishing. We visit the stunning lakes on Vancouver Island, which fishermen share with local bears who come down every morning and evening to do a bit of their own fishing. We also stay at one of the countries best eco-lodges, another helpful way to offset emissions. Two hours to killThis section of the show will be with award-winning scientist, environmentalist and broadcaster David Suzuki.
