Powder spill at airport sickens 11
MONTREAL, Canada -- Police sealed off part of Montreal's main airport and 11 people fell sick after a powdery substance spilled from a package on Tuesday night, Canadian media reported.
Fire and police officials said the the strong-smelling substance spilled during transport at Montreal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.
Police said the package may have come from London on a British Airways flight.
According to Canadian media, the 11 people affected by the spill worked in various government agencies such as Border Services and Agriculture Canada.
Emergency crews sealed off a large area, but airport operations were not affected, the report said.
