Australia take command in 2nd Test
![]() Spinner Cullen marks his Australian debut with a wicket in Chittagong CHITTAGONG, Bangladesh -- Australia were 76 for one at the close after they had bundled out Bangladesh for 197 on the opening day of the second and final Test in Chittagong on Sunday. Jason Gillespie snared three wickets for 11 runs before spinners Stuart MacGill (3-68) and Shane Warne (3-47) went to work to put Australia in the driving seat. And spinner Dan Cullen took his maiden test wicket on his debut when he had hard hitter Mashrafe Mortaza (four) caught behind by Adam Gilchrist. Matthew Hayden was the man out for the visitors, caught off Mohammad Rafique for 29. Philip Jaques was unbeaten on 38 and nightwatchman Jason Gillespie five not out. Bangladesh, who won the toss and opted to bat, lost their first wicket without a run on the board when first-test centurion Shahriar Nafees was caught at square leg by Brett Lee off Gillespie for a duck. Skipper Habibul Bashar was then superbly caught at point by a tumbling Phil Jaques off Gillespie, who also trapped opener Javed Omar (two) lbw. Warne, who had been expected to sit out the game due to a shoulder problem, snapped up the wicket of Mohammad Ashraful (six) who sent a catch to Matthew Hayden at slip. Rajin Saleh added 71 runs before being bowled by Macgill, who also removed Mohammad Rafique (19) caught by Matthew Hayden. Warne took the wicket of Aftab Ahmed (18) when Adam Gilchrist caught him behind. Warne took two wickets for 44 and Macgill had two for 53. The start of play had been delayed for 10 minutes after a disturbance involving the police and a photographer at the Divisional Stadium. Australia took a 1-0 lead in the two-test series with a dramatic three-wicket victory in the opener at Fatullah.
