MILAN, Italy -- Veteran Italian Loris Capirossi will remain with Ducati for the 2007 Moto GP season after signing a new contract on Monday. According to Italian media reports, Capirossi's new deal, believed to be worth around three million euros per year, will make him the highest paid rider ever to work for the Italian team. Capirossi, 33, is a three-time world champion, twice in the 125cc category and once in the 250cc category. He joined Ducati in 2003. Capirossi won the Czech Moto GP earlier this month for his second world championship victory of the year. ![]() Capirossi's new contract is worth a reported three million euros. |
