MELBOURNE, Australia -- World number five Nadia Petrova and number eight Tommy Robredo have been confirmed in the line-up for the Hopman Cup team competition in Perth at the end of the year. Petrova will team up with world number 21 Dmitry Tursunov representing Russia while Robredo's partner for Spain will be Anabel Medina Garrigues, ranked 28th. Taylor Dent returns to help the United States defend their title and Venus Williams takes over as his partner, in place of Lisa Raymond. South Korea, in the competition for the first time, will be represented by Lee-Hyung taik and Cho Yoon-jeong. World number 11 Tomas Berdych teams up with Lucie Safarova for the Czech Republic, the brother-sister team of Sanja and Mario Ancic represent Croatia and hosts Australia have Alicia Molik and Mark Philippoussis. The final place in the eight-team field for the December 30-January 5 event at the Burswood Dome will go to the winners of the inaugural Asia Hopman Cup to be contested in New Delhi from November 13. Top seeds Russia were paired with the U.S, Australia and South Korea in Group A at Thursday's draw.
