NICOSIA, Cyprus (Reuters) -- European champions Greece and Romania finished top of their respective groups at the 10th International Football Tournament run by the Cyprus Football Association. Greece defeated Kazakhstan 2-0 on Wednesday to top Group 1 while Romania overcame Slovenia 2-0 in Group 2 of the eight-team tournament. Manchester City striker Geogios Samaras fired Greece ahead on 68 minutes with a low shot inside the box and Bolton midfielder Stelios Giannakopoulos added a second in stoppage time. Goals from striker Ionut Mazilu and Andrej Retznik, who put through his own net, handed Romania a comfortable win over Romania. In other matches, Finland scored twice in the final seven minutes to earn a 2-2 draw with Belarus, who they then defeated 5-4 on penalties. Sergie Korilanko and Oleg Sakabara had Belarus two goals up after 54 minutes before late replies from Aki Riihalahti and Mikael Forssell restored parity. Hosts Cyprus ended on a high note, Yiannakis Okkas and Chrysis Michael on target in the defeat of Armenia.
