Wenger loves Real but staying put
![]() Wenger is predicting a bright future for his young Arsenal team. LONDON, England -- Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he loves Real Madrid but has no plans to swap England for Spain. "I love Real Madrid," Wenger told a news conference at Arsenal's training ground on Friday. "It is certainly, after Arsenal, a club I love because of my childhood. It was the team I admired when I was a kid and I have a lot of good memories for Real Madrid. "But my priority is to do well for Arsenal because I am here and I feel we are in the rebuilding process of a big team again and I want to do that." Arsenal knocked Real Madrid out of the Champions League last week to reach the quarterfinals and leave the Spaniards facing a third season without a trophy. Speculation in the Spanish media has been rife over the future of Real coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro since the resignation of club president Florentino Perez last month. Wenger has a contract with Arsenal until 2008 and said he would be staying put. "I can say publicly that I will be at Arsenal," the Frenchman said.
