Landreau looks a certainty to be a member of France's World Cup squad

PARIS, France -- Paris St Germain hope to strengthen their squad next season with Nantes' French international goalkeeper Mickael Landreau.

"A dozen European clubs are interesting in signing him. We know that he considers PSG an option but so far nothing has been signed," said PSG chairman Pierre Blayau.

PSG have been keen on Landreau, the Nantes captain, for some time. He was brilliant when Nantes held PSG 0-0 in a Ligue 1 match last month.

The 26-year-old has been at Nantes since 1993 and made his professional debut in October 1996 aged 17.

He led them to victory in the French Cup in 1999 and 2000 and the Ligue 1 championship in 2001.

Landreau has been capped three times by France and is almost certain to be the third goalkeeper in coach Raymond Domenech's World Cup squad.
