Injured Clemence is out for season
![]() Clemence's hamstring injury means he misses Birmingham's vital run-in. LONDON, England -- Birmingham City midfielder Stephen Clemence has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring tear. Clemence suffered the injury eight minutes into Tuesday's 1-0 home win over Bolton that lifted Birmingham out of the Premier League relegation zone. "I don't think Stephen Clemence will play again this season," Birmingham manager Steve Bruce told the club's website. "He has torn his hamstring which is normally 21 to 28 days - that's the end of the season for him." There was better news for Bruce on Nicky Butt, who also suffered a hamstring problem against Bolton but is expected to be back in time for the derby against Aston Villa on April 16. Birmingham visit Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
