Spain | Forward Age: 22 Despite being a star for four seasons now, Torres remains largely unknown to supporters outside Spain due to his club's failure to qualify for the Champions League. However, opposing coaches will certainly know all about the Primera Liga golden boy and his phenomenal goalscoring record. Torres top scored with seven goals in the qualifiers and a good tournament is likely to result in a big-money transfer before the start of next season. Known as the "Spanish Wayne Rooney", Torres is the youngest scorer in Atletico history and in 2003 became the youngest player ever to pull on a Spanish shirt. As well as the ability to create his own chances, Torres can sniff out opportunites from inside and outside the area and, in a potentially weak group, he will be a front-runner for the Golden Boot award.
