Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Sweden | Forward

Age: 24
Club: Juventus
Achievements: Dutch title 2002, Italian title 2005, 2006

Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently one of the world's deadliest strikers, helping the Turin giants to back-to-back Italian titles in his first two seasons in Serie A.

Strong, powerful and formidable in the air, Ibrahimovic was his country's top scorer in World Cup qualifying with eight goals, earning him Sweden's player of the year award in 2005.

Having played understudy to Henrik Larsson at the last World Cup in 2002 and at Euro 2004, Germany 2006 represents Ibrahimovic's first real opportunity to make an impact at international level.

Ibrahimovic will pose the Swedes' most potent attacking weapon and -- assuming he can keep his infamous temper in check -- should be among the leading contenders for the top scorer's Golden Boot.
