Koller completes deal with Monaco

PRAGUE, Czech Republic -- Czech striker Jan Koller has signed a two-year deal with ex-Champions League finalists Monaco from Borussia Dortmund, the player's agent Pavel Paska announced on Monday.

Koller has hit 42 goals in 68 internationals, including two at the weekend as the Czechs warmed up for the World Cup with a 3-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago.

"Monaco made a a very solid offer and the coach as well as the club management really wanted me to come," said Koller, known as the 'Dinosaur' in his native country.

Hit by injuries this season, he has recently returned to full fitness and is seen as crucial to the chances of the Czech team who are in Group E with Italy, U.S. and Ghana.

Monaco reached the Champions League final in 2004 under Didier Deschamps but were beaten 3-0 by Jose Mourinho's Porto.
