Manchester City book Shanghai trip
![]() City's Sun Jihai will face old teammates in Shanghai. BEIJING, China -- Manchester City will warm up for the new English premier league season in a four-team tournament in China. Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua announced that City, who finished 15th in the league last season, and Atletico Madrid would represent Europe. Japanese club Kashima Antlers and Shenhua will also compete at the Shanghai international tournament from August 4. The tournament will be a homecoming of sorts for City's China defender Sun Jihai, who hails from the northeastern city of Dalian. "It will be interesting to play against Sun after being together so long on the national team," Shenhua striker Xie Hui told the Shanghai Daily. "Fans can expect a feast soon after the World Cup festivities."
