A Monaco spokesman also confirmed that former Greece international midfielder Vassilios Zicos has moved back to AEK Athens on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old Zicos joined Monaco from AEK in 2002 and helped them reach the Champions League final in 2004.

Meanwhile, Partizan Belgrade have signed Bulgarian midfielder Asen Nikolov on a three-year contract.

The 30-year-old attacking midfielder, who has three international caps, joins Partizan from Azeri first division side Turan and has previously played for Sofia rivals Levski and Slavia.
