Chelsea shocked as United show way
![]() Shevchenko's celebrations were shortlived as Chelsea lost out. LONDON, England -- Champions Chelsea suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough on Wednesday while Manchester United made it two wins out of two with a convincing 3-0 victory at Charlton. Chelsea looked on course for their second win in their first two Premiership matches when Andriy Shevchenko put them ahead after just 15 minutes with his first goal for the club. But for Londoners were stunned as first Emanuel Pogatetz headed the home side level on 79 and then Mark Viduka sent the Boro fans crazy with the winner a minute from time. There was no such trouble for United though as after a tough first half they ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at The Valley. Darren Fletcher put them ahead, Louis Saha doubled their lead and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored his first goa lin three years as Alex Ferguson's side made it a maximum six points out of six. Martin O'Neill got his first win as Aston Villa manager as his side came from behind to beat Reading 2-1, helped by the first-half sending-off of Ibrahima Sonko. Tim Cahill scored the equalizer as Everton drew at Blackburn Rovers, while Jimmy Bullard's late penalty gave Fulham a point in a 1-1 draw with Bolton. Manchester City drew 0-0 with Portsmouth in the night's other match.
