MADRID, Spain -- Real Madrid's Brazilian international defender Cicinho has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, the Primera Liga club said on Sunday. The 26-year-old right back will need surgery and is expected to be out of action for a large part of the season after suffering the injury during the 1-0 league win at Betis on Saturday. Cicinho turned awkwardly while challenging for the ball in Seville and was carried off in the 29th minute.
