PARIS, France -- Holders Nancy reached the French League Cup quarterfinals with a 2-1 home win over Toulouse on Tuesday.

Nigerian striker Tosin Dosunmu opened the scoring just before halftime in the second-round clash between this season's surprise Ligue 1 packages.

Uruguay defender Damian Macaluso doubled the advantage with eight minutes remaining before midfielder Bryan Bergougoux pulled one back for Toulouse in the closing stages.

Easterners Nancy, an unheralded team with limited resources, won their first trophy in 28 years when they lifted the League Cup last April.

The club where France's all-time great Michel Platini made his playing debut are third in the Ligue 1 standings, one place above southwesterners Toulouse.

Le Mans scored two penalties as they beat visitors Lens 3-1 in another of the night's three all-Ligue 1 ties.

Sochaux pleased their home fans with a 5-0 thrashing of second division Dijon featuring two goals by Senegal midfielder Badara Sene.
