TURIN, Italy -- Alessandro Del Piero scored his 200th goal for Juventus in Saturday's 1-0 win over Frosinone in Serie B. Substitute Del Piero had been on the field for 13 minutes when he scored in the 73rd, converting from a rebound after Pavel Nedved's shot hit the post. "It means a lot -- for my ties to this club, these fans and this city," Del Piero said. Juventus now have 13 points, five fewer than leader Genoa, after their 17-point penalty from the Italian match-fixing scandal was reduced by eight points by an arbitration board on Friday. Juventus had had an effort from Valeri Bojinov ruled out in the 22nd minute when David Trezeguet was ruled offside, although replays showed the Frenchman was not behind the defense. Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon preserved Juve's victory with a one-handed stop to intercept a dangerous cross four minutes from time. Players in both divisions in Italy wore T-shirts with the message "Free Gabriele Torsello" as they walked onto the field, an appeal for the release of an Italian photographer kidnapped in Afghanistan. ![]() Del Piero had been on as a sub for 13 minutes when he grabbed his 200th Juve goal.
